JEANNE AND THE FLOWERS OF EVIL

JEANNE AND THE FLOWERS OF EVIL is an Augmented Reality project featuring Jeanne Duval. Baudelaire’s companion, friend and muse, she was violently denigrated by the poet’s critics and biographers. From the end of the 19th century to the present day, she has been the target of a relentless attack rooted in racist prejudice and misogyny. The AR experience is part of a desire to rehabilitate Jeanne, but also to discover, from her point of view, some of Baudelaire’s poems that shed light on their passionate relationship. JEANNE AND THE FLOWERS OF EVIL is an Augmented Reality soap opera designed for broadcast on social networks. Armed with a smartphone, you’ll travel into the world of Jeanne and Baudelaire. Each episode is an animated module in which Jeanne recounts an episode from her life or introduces us to a poem by her illustrious lover.
