LITTLE STORIES MAKE GREAT TALES
Little Big Story is a film production company founded in 2014 in Paris, France.
It produces all genres and specializes in international co-productions: documentaries, animation, fiction, immersive films, impact strategies.
Little Big Story is based in Paris, but also in Saint-Étienne (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Région).
Little Big Story intends to revisit narrative modes by mixing forms, genres and media, in order to tell stories that reveal the times we live in.
Little Big Story is committed to high value-added content in writing and style, author support, cinematic rigor and the production of daring first films. Little Big Story relies on its experienced teams.
It has gained international recognition by being selected during pitch sessions and appearing at major festivals. Through their form and content, the projects target large audiences, both in France and on the international market.
Little Big Story has two subsidiaries: Little Big Story Lab, dedicated to immersive films, and Little Big Story Pictures, devoted to animated features.
Little Big Story is the winner of the 2018 Best Producer Award (Documentary).
Little Big Story is part of the 2023/2024 of the CNC BPI Cinema Accelerator group.
An eclectic film lover (categorically refusing to be pigeonholed), Valérie produces documentaries, animation, immersive films and fiction. She specializes in international co-productions, and has a strong presence at markets and festivals.
She enjoys production adventures and is a strong advocate of young writers. In another life, she was a journalist and defends political and poetic projects.
Founder and the inspiration of LITTLE BIG STORY, she is also the boss. Elected member of SPI (Union of independent producers), and UNIFRANCE. Winner of the 2018 Documentary Producer’s Award, graduate of EURODOC (2015) and EAVE (2020).

Raphaël is crazy about American cinema, capable of dissecting Michael Mann’s films shot by shot, and also a documentary film buff.
He’s “the man you can’t do anything without”.
He is the wizard and the Swiss Army knife of international co-productions.
He’s also the pillar of the entire production team and the valued partner of all partners and creative and technical teams.
A founding partner and producer, he is in charge of production management for LITTLE BIG STORY and its affiliated companies (LBS LAB, LBS PICTURES, HEAT, LDM EDITIONS).

Fond of the Nouvelle Vague’s classics, Flore especially appreciates engaged movies which are tellings of the world, from Céline Sciamma’s movies to Carole Roussopoulos and Peter Watkins’ documentaries.
After completing a double degree in History and Political Science at the Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, she worked for various production companies, developing over thirty documentaries on human rights and social issues.
She joined the LITTLE BIG STORY team in the summer of 2024 to produce history, investigative and international society documentaries.

A producer long based in Russia (head of Ethnofund, with over 20 award-winning documentaries to his credit), and a specialist in Siberia and the Arctic, Vlad converted to European and French production in March 2022.
For LITTLE BIG STORY, he unearths the best Russian-language projects and those from neighboring countries.
Without borders, he works on eclectic documentaries: creative documentaries, TV documentaries, animated documentaries…

A complete film buff with a passion for creative documentaries (The Sorrow and the Pity and Love Exists are in his pantheon), he is equally fond of Mario Ruspoli, Laura Poitras, Frederick Wiseman, Patricio Guzman, Molly Dineen, Werner Herzog, Kim Longinotto and Ben Rivers in experimental cinema.
Romain holds a Master’s degree in Geography (La Sorbonne) and a Master of Art in Filmmaking (Leeds Beckett University).
His comprehensive vision of production and keen analysis of artistic content make him an indispensable production manager.
While he loves team sports and the great outdoors, he’s just as adept at handling grant applications as he is at shooting schedules.

A fan of punk and genre cinema (horror in particular), Louise knows all about Wes Craven and David Cronenberg.
She holds a double Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Cinema, a Master’s in Film Research from the Université Paul Valéry (Montpellier III), as well as a Master’s in Audiovisual Production from ENSAV.
At LITTLE BIG STORY, she has established herself as the specialist in film research: documentation, archives, artistic references… Louise is the producers’ right brain.

As Mexican as she is French (and vice-versa), Sofia, who started out in Mexican cinema as a costume designer and set designer, earned a Bachelor’s in Cinema at Paris VIII and then a Master’s in Audiovisual Production at INA.
She loves poetry in cinema, especially if it’s politically engaged.
She loves the work of Carmen Castillo as much as that of Hayao Miyazaki.
Initially an intern, she is now a production assistant at LITTLE BIG STORY.

A fan of both documentary and fiction, Thaïs likes movies in which political and subjective subjects intertwine. Her references go from Lars Von Trier to Agnes Varda, who cradled her childhood.
After three years in a literary preparatory class and a master’s degree in political philosophy (Paris IV), Thaïs worked for several France Culture programs (“Les chemins de la philosophie”, “Avec Philosophie”) before continuing her studies at INA’s audiovisual production master’s program.
At LITTLE BIG STORY, she follows an apprenticeship as a production assistant.
