
BAD BOYS CAN CRY
On an island in Thailand, Erdem Dinçer, a sensitive boxer with a sad look in his eyes, dedicates his life to the practice of Muay Thai, Thai boxing. With his coach Jack, this youngTurkish fighter is training hard to take part in the RWS tournament in Bangkok and win a prize that could change his life.
Under the camp’s tin roof, heated by a blazing sun, training sessions follow one another at an infernal pace. In the evening, Erdem meets up with Luna, Gokhan and the other Lamai boxers. Together, they play the saz, talk about their former lives and share their dreams. They’ve left everything behind to make a living with their fists in Thailand, but the world of boxing is cruel and unforgiving. The film follows Erdem’s daily life; through his victories and defeats, highlighting the quest for balance of this fragile young man who boxes with his heart.
